Taranga Gogoi is an Indian politician from Assam and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly in 2021 representing the Naharkatia constituency and successfully retained his seat in the May 2026 assembly elections. Alongside his legislative duties, he was appointed as Political Secretary to the Chief Minister following the formation of the new government under Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in 2026, and he also serves as the President of the Assam Cricket Association.
