Ted Rowlands, Baron Rowlands

Ted Rowlands, Baron Rowlands, is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2004. A long-standing member of the Labour Party, he previously served as a Member of Parliament for Cardiff North and later for Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney for over thirty years. During his time in the Commons, he held several ministerial positions, including Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Welsh Office and Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He is also known for his work on the Richard Commission regarding Welsh legislative powers.
