Terry Alexander

Terry Alexander is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for the 59th District, a position he has held since 2007. A member of the Democratic Party, he currently serves as the 2nd Vice Chair of the House Education and Public Works Committee and is a member of the Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee. Beyond his state legislative duties, Alexander serves as the Region V Chair of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators, representing North Carolina and South Carolina. He is also known for his involvement in national political movements, having served as an introductory speaker at Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign kick-off rally in Brooklyn.
