Terry Yung is a Canadian politician and current Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for the electoral district of Vancouver-Yaletown, elected in 2024. He also serves as the Minister of State for Community Safety and Integrated Services. Born in Hong Kong, Yung moved to Vancouver in the early 1990s and spent thirty years as a police officer with the Vancouver Police Department, eventually reaching the rank of inspector. Before his election, he was deeply involved in community service, chairing the board of the immigrant services organization SUCCESS and serving on the boards of several local non-profits. His political platform emphasizes public safety and community integration.
