野村哲郎

Tetsuro Nomura is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Kagoshima constituency. A long-time member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he previously served as the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the second Kishida Cabinet. Before entering national politics, he worked for the Kagoshima Prefectural Agricultural Cooperative. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles, including chair of the House of Councillors Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Nomura is known for his conservative policy stances, including support for constitutional revision and the strengthening of Japan's defense capabilities. He has indicated his intention to retire from politics following the conclusion of his current term.
