Thomas Chittenden

Thomas Ira Chittenden is an American politician serving as a member of the Vermont Senate, representing Chittenden County since his election in 2020. In addition to his legislative duties, he has served as a South Burlington City Councilor since 2015. A dedicated educator and administrator, Chittenden previously served as the Faculty Senate President at the University of Vermont and held leadership roles within the Green Mountain Transit Authority. He is recognized for his academic contributions, having received the UVM President's Distinguished Lecturer Award and the Grossman School of Business Faculty Member of the Year award. He resides in South Burlington with his family.
