Moakley is an American politician serving as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the district that includes Dukes County, Nantucket County, and parts of Barnstable County. A native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, and the great-nephew of the late Congressman Joe Moakley, he holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Before his election to the state legislature in 2024, he served as a Cape and Islands Assistant District Attorney. In the House, he is active in committees concerning the judiciary, tourism, and environmental policy.
