Thuy Tran

Thuy Tran is an American politician, optometrist, and military officer currently serving as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives for the 45th district. Born in South Vietnam, she immigrated to the United States as a child. Tran holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from UCLA, a Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University, and an MBA from George Fox University. In addition to her legislative work, she has operated her own optometry practice since 1995 and serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Oregon Air National Guard. She previously served on the Parkrose School District Board from 2012 to 2015.
