A graduate of the Lodz University of Technology and the University of Lodz, he previously served as the Deputy Mayor of Łódź from 2014 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in the Democratic Left Alliance and later the New Left party, focusing on public finance, regional policy, and local government affairs. In 2024, he was appointed as the deputy chair of the parliamentary investigative committee regarding the use of Pegasus spyware.
