Tony Woodley, Baron Woodley

Tony Woodley, Baron Woodley, is a British trade unionist and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2020. Before entering the legislature, he held prominent leadership roles in the British labor movement, including serving as General Secretary of the Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU) from 2004 to 2007 and as Joint-General Secretary of Unite from 2007 to 2011. Known for his advocacy for workers' rights and his opposition to New Labour policies, he has been a vocal critic of anti-union legislation and corporate practices throughout his career.
