Tonya Anderson is an American politician and pastor currently serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate. Before her election to the Senate in 2017, she served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2013 to 2015 and held the position of mayor of Lithonia. A veteran of the Air Force Reserves, Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Alabama State University and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice College & Seminary. Throughout her career, she has also served as the Chair of the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus.
