John Thomas "Trey" Lamar III is an American lawyer and Republican politician currently serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. Representing the 8th House district, which includes parts of Tate and Lafayette Counties, he has held his seat since 2012. In addition to his legislative duties, Lamar has served as the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, the Mississippi College School of Law, and Washington University in St. Louis.
