Troy Bell is a former Australian politician who served as the Member for Mount Gambier in the South Australian House of Assembly from 2014 to 2025. Initially elected as a member of the Liberal Party, he became an independent in 2017 following allegations of financial misconduct. Despite facing criminal charges, he was re-elected as an independent in 2018 and 2022. In 2024, he was found guilty of multiple counts of theft and dishonest dealing with documents. Following a failed appeal, he resigned from parliament in September 2025 and was subsequently sentenced to five years in prison.
