Ľubomír Vážny

Ľubomír Vážny is a Slovak politician and a long-serving member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. A member of the Direction - Social Democracy (SMER-SD) party, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications from 2006 to 2010 and Deputy Prime Minister for Investments between 2012 and 2016. Additionally, he served as the Director General of the Social Insurance Institution from 2017 to 2020. Vážny holds a degree in civil engineering and previously worked in the construction industry before entering national politics.
