Udo Wernitz is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). Born in 1968 in Brandenburg an der Havel, he initially trained as a baker and master baker before working for many years as a sales representative and technical consultant in the food industry. Wernitz entered local politics in 2014 and has served as the chair of the municipal council in Kloster Lehnin since 2019. He was first elected to the Landtag of Brandenburg in 2019 and successfully defended his direct mandate in the 2024 state election.
