Ulf Thiele is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He has served as a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony since 2003, representing the constituency of Leer. Within the CDU parliamentary group, he has held the positions of deputy chairman and spokesperson for budget and finance policy since 2017. Beyond his parliamentary duties, Thiele is active in local government as a member of the Leer district council and is involved in various church and community organizations, including the synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover. He is also a vocal advocate for the preservation of the East Frisian Low German language.
