Uma Thomas

Uma Thomas is an Indian politician from Kerala and a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly representing the Thrikkakkara constituency. She entered electoral politics following the death of her husband, P. T. Thomas, winning the Thrikkakara byelection in 2022 to become the lone woman member of the Indian National Congress in the assembly. She subsequently secured a landslide victory in the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly election, achieving the highest margin of victory among the women winners.
