Umesh Sharma Kau is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, representing the Raipur constituency in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. Initially associated with the Indian National Congress, he won the 2012 assembly elections before rebelling in 2016 and joining the BJP. He subsequently secured re-election from Raipur in the 2017 and 2022 elections with significant majorities.
