Unru Baso is an Indonesian politician and former merchant marine captain currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 term. Representing the South Sulawesi III electoral district, he is a member of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) and serves on Commission VI, which oversees industry, investment, state-owned enterprises, trade, and cooperatives. Before entering politics, Baso had a distinguished career in the maritime industry, serving as a master mariner for various international shipping companies and as an operational director for several firms. He is also active in community leadership, notably as the General Chair of the KASPB and as a board member for the Luwu Raya Family Association.
