Uri Maklev is an Israeli politician and rabbi serving as a member of the Knesset for the Degel HaTorah faction of the United Torah Judaism alliance. A graduate of the Kol HaTorah and Ponivezh yeshivas, he previously served as a member of the Jerusalem City Council and as Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2008. Throughout his parliamentary career, which began in 2008, he has held various committee roles and served as the Deputy Minister of Transportation and Road Safety. Maklev is a prominent figure within the Haredi community and resides in Jerusalem.
