Uwe Schmidt

Uwe Schmidt is a German politician and former stevedore who has served as a member of the Bundestag representing the state of Bremen since 2017. Prior to his federal parliamentary career, he was a member of the State Parliament of Bremen from 2015 to 2017. Within the Bundestag, he has contributed to the Committee for Food and Agriculture and the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure. Since 2022, he has also held a leadership role representing the SPD parliamentarians from Northern Germany.
