Nguyễn Văn Huy is a prominent Vietnamese ethnologist and museum professional. Born in Hanoi in 1945, he is the son of the scholar Nguyễn Văn Huyên. He served as the Director of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from 1995 to 2006, where he was instrumental in transforming the institution into a dynamic center for cultural preservation and community engagement. Throughout his career, he has conducted extensive field research on ethnic minorities in Vietnam and authored numerous academic works on ethnology and museology. He currently serves as the professional director of the Center for Heritage of Vietnamese Scientists and operates the private Nguyễn Văn Huyên Museum.
