Véronique Tognifodé Mewanou

Véronique Tognifodé Mewanou is a Beninese politician, educator, and medical professional serving as the Minister of Social Affairs and Microfinance in Benin. A trained gynecologist-obstetrician and researcher at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Abomey-Calavi, she entered government service in 2019. In addition to her ministerial duties, she has held responsibilities in secondary education since 2025. Her work focuses on social development and public policy within the administration of President Patrice Talon.
