Vít Rakušan is a Czech politician and pedagogue who has served as the leader of the Mayors and Independents (STAN) party since 2019. He has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2017 and previously served as the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior from 2021 to 2025. Before his national political career, he was the mayor of Kolín and a regional representative in Central Bohemia. Rakušan is known for his advocacy of a modern, efficient state and his focus on countering foreign influence.
