Vadym Liakh is a Ukrainian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sloviansk and the Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration. First elected to the Sloviansk City Council in 2002, he served multiple terms as a local deputy before being elected mayor in 2015 and re-elected in 2020. He is noted for being the first mayor in the city's history to win a second term. Since the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, he has led the city through significant wartime challenges, including civilian evacuations and infrastructure crises.
