Vance Smith

Vance Smith Jr. is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 138th district. First elected to the state legislature in 1993, he served until 2009 before being appointed commissioner of the Georgia Department of Transportation, a role he held until 2011. He returned to the state house in 2019, where he has since served on various committees, including Natural Resources & Environment and Transportation. Smith is also the founder and CEO of Vance Smith Contracting and Consulting.
