Veli Ağbaba

Veli Ağbaba is a Turkish politician who has served as a Member of the Grand National Assembly for Malatya since 2011. Born in 1968, he began his political career as a municipal councillor in Malatya before rising to become the provincial president of the Republican People's Party (CHP). A member of the Atatürkist Thought Association, Ağbaba is known for his advocacy on labor rights and government accountability, notably challenging the administration regarding safety conditions during the construction of the Istanbul Airport. He is a graduate of Anadolu University and has authored several books on political and social issues in Turkey.
