Veronika Honkasalo

Veronika Honkasalo is a Finnish politician and academic currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland representing the Helsinki constituency. Born in 1975 in Lappeenranta, she holds a doctorate in social sciences and has worked as a researcher at the Youth Research Society. Before her election to the national parliament in 2019, she served on the Helsinki City Council starting in 2012. Her political work focuses on human rights, climate policy, and the welfare state, including advocacy for international law regarding occupied territories.
