Victor Drăgușin is a Romanian politician and engineer who has served as the Mayor of Alexandria since 2008. Born on November 21, 1962, in Alexandria, he graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest in 1987 with a degree in Machine Building Technology and later earned a master's degree in European Public Administration. Before his tenure as mayor, he worked as an engineer and held management positions at SC Electrotel SA, and served as the Deputy Mayor of Alexandria from 2000 to 2008. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) since 1995, he has focused his administration on infrastructure modernization, urban development, and the rehabilitation of public spaces, securing consecutive re-elections in 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024.
