Victoria Stoiciu

Victoria Stoiciu is a Romanian politician and academic currently serving as a member of the Senate of Romania. Elected in 2024 to represent Vaslui, she chairs the Senate Committee for Human Rights, Equal Opportunities, Cults, and Minorities. Before entering parliament, she worked as a program coordinator for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Romania and served as a state counselor in the Prime Minister's Chancellery. Stoiciu holds a doctorate in political science from Babeș-Bolyai University and is known for her extensive research on social policy and labor issues. In April 2026, she resigned from the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in protest against the party's collaboration with the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR).
