Viktor Liashko is a Ukrainian physician and politician who has served as the Minister of Health of Ukraine since May 2021. Born in the Rivne region, he graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 2003 and spent several years working in the sanitary and epidemiological service. Before his ministerial appointment, he held key roles in public health, including serving as the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine and Deputy Minister of Health. Throughout his career, he has focused on health system reforms, including the digitization of medical records and the implementation of neonatal screening programs. He is also a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
