Ville Tavio

Ville Tavio is a Finnish politician serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland and as the Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade in the Orpo Cabinet since 2023. A member of the Finns Party, he was first elected to the Turku City Council in 2012 and to the national parliament in 2015. Tavio holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Turku. His political career has been marked by his focus on national sovereignty and controversial stances regarding demographic changes and European Union policies.
