Vinod Tawde is an Indian politician and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Maharashtra. Currently serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha since 2026, he has previously held significant roles including Minister for School Education, Higher and Technical Education, and Sports in the Maharashtra state government. A long-time member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and former leader of the ABVP, Tawde has been active in state politics for decades, serving as a Member of the Legislative Council and as the Leader of the Opposition. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as agricultural reform, irrigation corruption, and urban housing for mill workers.
