A long-time member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and former leader of the ABVP, Tawde has been active in state politics for decades, serving as a Member of the Legislative Council and as the Leader of the Opposition. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as agricultural reform, irrigation corruption, and urban housing for mill workers.
