Vito Bardi

Vito Bardi is an Italian politician and former general who has served as the President of the Basilicata region since 2019. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the Guardia di Finanza, rising to the rank of army corps general and serving as deputy general commander. A member of Forza Italia, Bardi was elected as the first centre-right president of Basilicata in 2019 and was re-elected for a second term in 2024. His administration has focused on regional infrastructure and economic development.
