Vivian Davis Figures is an American politician serving as a member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 33rd District since 1997. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served on the Mobile City Council. Throughout her legislative career, she has been a prominent advocate for public health, notably sponsoring statewide indoor smoking bans, and has focused on education and economic development. In 2012, she became the first woman to serve as the floor leader for the Democratic caucus in the Alabama Legislature. She is also a dedicated community leader, serving on the Board of Trustees for Jacksonville State University and leading the Figures Legacy Education Foundation.
