Vladimír Maňka

Vladimír Maňka is a Slovak politician who has served as the Mayor of Zvolen since 1999. A prominent member of the Direction – Social Democracy party, he previously served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2019, where he held the position of quaestor and served on the Committee on Budgets. Throughout his career, Maňka has been deeply involved in regional development and economic policy, including leadership roles within the Party of the Democratic Left and various academic and regional development boards in Slovakia.
