Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis is a Lithuanian politician and physician serving as a member of the European Parliament since 2024. A trained heart surgeon, he previously held prominent roles including European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety from 2014 to 2019, Minister of Health of Lithuania, and longtime member of the Lithuanian parliament. He was also a co-signatory to the 1990 Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania and an active participant in the anti-Soviet underground resistance movement.
