W. Edward Crockett is an American politician and businessman who has served as a member of the Maine House of Representatives since 2018. Originally elected as a Democrat, he transitioned to independent status in 2025 during a brief campaign for Governor of Maine. Outside of his legislative career, Crockett is the president of the soft drink company Capt’n Eli's Soda and is the author of a memoir titled The Ghosts of Walter Crockett. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine and an MBA from Boston College.
