Walter Alves

Walter Alves is a Brazilian administrator and politician currently serving as the Vice Governor of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, a position he assumed on January 1, 2023. Born in Natal, he is the son of former governor and senator Garibaldi Alves Filho. Alves began his political career as a state deputy in 2006 and later served as a federal deputy starting in 2014. During his time in the federal legislature, he supported the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff and voted in favor of the Constitutional Amendment of the Public Expenditure Cap during the Michel Temer administration.
