Walter Runte

Walter Gerard Runte Jr. is an American politician and energy executive serving as a member of the Maine House of Representatives for the 146th district since 2022. Before entering politics, he spent over four decades in the energy and utility sectors, holding senior management roles at firms such as ARES Corporation and serving as a consultant on utility modernization and clean energy. In the legislature, he focuses on energy policy, grid modernization, and renewable energy financing. He previously served on the York Energy Steering Committee and Planning Board.
