Warren Limmer is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota Senate, representing the 37th District. First elected to the legislature in 1988 as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, he transitioned to the Senate in 1995. Throughout his tenure, Limmer has held various leadership roles, including chair of the Judiciary and Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee. A conservative legislator, he is known for authoring the 2012 constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage and for his opposition to universal background checks for gun purchases.
