Wayne D. Fontana is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 42nd District since 2005. Born and raised in the Beechview section of Pittsburgh, he previously worked as a truck driver and in real estate before entering politics. Fontana served on the Allegheny County Council from 1999 to 2005, including a term as vice president. In the State Senate, he has held leadership roles including caucus chairman and currently serves as the Minority Chair of the Law & Justice Committee.
