Werner Kogler

Werner Kogler is an Austrian politician and economist who has served as a Member of the National Council since 2024, having previously held the seat from 1999 to 2017 and 2019 to 2020. He served as Vice-Chancellor of Austria and Federal Minister for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport from 2020 to 2025. A long-time leader of The Greens, Kogler played a pivotal role in negotiating the first turquoise-green coalition government in 2019. Throughout his career, he has focused on environmental protection, climate policy, and social justice, and is noted for his extensive parliamentary experience and advocacy for democratic values.
