Wolfgang Stefinger

Wolfgang Stefinger is a German politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag representing Bavaria since 2013. A member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), he serves on the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment and the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development. Stefinger acts as his parliamentary group's rapporteur for relations with India and has been involved in various coalition negotiation working groups. Known for his work in development policy, he also holds positions on several boards, including the German Africa Foundation and the GIZ board of trustees. In 2017, he notably broke with his party's majority to vote in favor of same-sex marriage in Germany.
