Wynand Boshoff is a South African politician and academic serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Freedom Front Plus since 2019. He has held the position of Provincial Leader of the Freedom Front Plus in the Northern Cape since 2015 and previously served as a municipal councillor for the Sol Plaatje Local Municipality from 2016 to 2019. An academic by background, he holds a PhD in education sciences from the University of Pretoria. Boshoff is the grandson of former South African Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd and the son of Orania founder Carel Boshoff. He has frequently emphasized that he wishes to be judged by his own merits and political ideals rather than his family connections.
