Motoyasu Yamada is a Japanese politician and former diplomat currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Hyogo 11th district. Born in Tokyo, he graduated from Sophia University and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005, where he held various diplomatic posts, including assignments in Poland and at the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations. Before his election to the Diet in 2026, he served as the Vice Mayor of Himeji City. He is a member of the Aso faction within the Liberal Democratic Party.
