Yaqub Eyyubov is an Azerbaijani politician who has served as the First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan since 2003. Born in Mingachevir in 1945, he graduated with a degree in construction engineering from Azerbaijan Technical University and previously worked as an academic and assistant dean at the Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University. He entered government service in 1999 as a Deputy Prime Minister before ascending to his current role, and has also chaired several high-level state committees and intergovernmental commissions.
