Yara Zokaie

Yara Zokaie is an American tax attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives for the 52nd district, having assumed office in January 2025. A second-generation Iranian-American originally from El Dorado Hills, California, she holds a Juris Doctor and an LLM in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. Prior to her legislative career, she worked as a tax attorney representing clients against the Internal Revenue Service and served as the chief deputy assessor of Larimer County, Colorado. Additionally, she co-founded the Latino Coalition, an advocacy organization focused on community representation.
