Yasuko Shimizu is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, representing the Nishitama district. Before entering politics, she worked for over 20 years at the National Tax Agency and served as a public secretary to a member of the House of Representatives. A certified tax accountant and holder of an MBA from Globis University, she leverages her professional background to focus on tax policy, childcare support, elderly care, and disaster prevention. She is a mother of five and has been active in promoting women's empowerment and regional development in the Nishitama area.
