Jawor Geczew

Yavor Gechev is a Bulgarian politician, agricultural engineer, and former government minister. He currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, representing the Progressive Bulgaria coalition. Previously, he held the position of Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker governments of Galab Donev from 2022 to 2023 and served as a Deputy Minister of Agriculture in 2013–2014 and 2021. Gechev has extensive experience in agricultural management, having directed the regional payment agency in Plovdiv and led the national union of agricultural cooperatives. Following his ministerial tenure, he also served as an advisor to the President of Bulgaria on agriculture, food, and forestry.
